  Can't say enough about the responsiveness, pricing, and service.  My mother needed some fairly extensive repairs and I got an initial quote from someone NOT All American that seemed to... read more me absurdly high (for example, I asked them the model of motor they were going to install and it was a good 250% of retail).  Add in everything else they recommended and it was going to be a much larger cost than I'd ever thought.

Needed a 2nd opinion so I called All American and spoke with owner Steve.  When he heard what I was quoted he groaned and had his son Dylan onsite within an hour, and shortly thereafter I received a full door repair quote (not just the motor) for a very reasonable price, which included the motor and a ton of preventive maintenance.   I accepted in a heartbeat.  The quality of the workmanship was superb and they finished in a very reasonable amount of time.

I'm very glad I found these folks and will absolutely use them again should the need arise and can whole heartedly recommend them for ANYONE.  Serious, call these folks first and look no further - there's just no need.

  Had a conversation through Yelp and was promised a call to discuss the issue.  Waited for the call, none came therefore called and left a message.  Never received a call... read more back.  Guess they didn't want my business.

  I tried to leave for work on Tuesday morning only to find our garage door wouldn't open.  I called 3 garage door companies and the first two went straight to... read more voicemail.  Steve answered the third call and he was at my house within 45 minutes.

After diagnosing the issue (motor burnt out) Steve could have had it replaced within an hour, but I opted for a "smart" opener that he didn't have on his truck at the time.

The next morning Steve and his crew arrived and replaced the motor and exchanged the old chain drive with a new belt drive. They even adjusted the spring and lubed the rollers.

The old motor would literally vibrate the house, this new setup is the quietest garage door I've ever heard.  The price was really fair and the service was top notch.

  Had a new 2 car garage door & opener installed in 2016 by Mesa Garage Doors.  In Oct 2019 the door began acting erratically and was often entirely unresponsive to... read more control inputs (e.g., wouldn't go up or down when needed and, most annoying, sometimes went up/down without control input from us).  Called Mesa but was told they don't service garage doors in San Diego (even those they install).  Read Yelp reviews and called All American Garage Doors and spoke to Steve - very helpful and not at all pushy.  He had several simple suggestions which might help us avoid a service call.  When those pointed out we really had a problem I called back about noon and asked if we could get someone out to look at it today.  In about an hour Dylan showed up - a smart personable young man.  In short order, he diagnosed an intermittent short in the wire between the wall controller and the motor.  He replaced that single 6 to 8 ft length of wire and now it is back in perfect working order.  He also did some lubrication and other system checks.  Very impressive, reasonably priced and professional; highly recommended!!

  I would give this company 6 stars if I could! To start off, I would like to explain my past situation. About 2 years ago, I had a different company... read more come out to repair a sensor issue we were having on our garage door. This other company's technician informed me that we had some broken hinges on our garage door (that for reasons unknown, he was unable to find replacements for) and recommended we purchase a new door. We were not able to afford the expense at that time, so held off.

Fast forward to present. Just last night, the spring on our door snapped. I requested a quote via Yelp this morning. Within minutes, Stephen was in touch with me. While talking to him over the phone, I explained my problem and told him that we were pretty positive that we would just need a new door because of "broken hinges." I told him the brand of the door and he said his company could most likely replace those hinges. He had Dylan out to my residence the same day, within a couple of hours. Dylan was very knowledgeable and efficient. He had 10 broken hinges and broken springs replaced within about an hour. He even told me that my door is NOT bad...I probably have another 5-10 years left on the life of it! This company saved us quite a bit of money. That is huge in my book!

In summary, I have nothing negative to say about this company. Excellent response time, communication, and follow through. It looks like they are a family-owned company, and it truly shows. Amazing customer service, honest people. Highly recommended!

  Had an old 15 year old Craftsman chain garage door opener that went kaput on me over Father's Day weekend.  Reached out to Steve from All American that Sunday morning... read more and he replied almost immediately to discuss options of trying to repair the motor, but I decided I just wanted to take the jump and get a newer quieter belt driven model.  I knew it was Father's Day, but I really wanted to see if we could get it swapped out ASAP and within minutes he was able to confirm a technician  who showed up at my house in less than an hour of my initial call! That's where the technician Dylan showed up and took care of business.  I hung out with Dylan in the garage as he told me the ins and outs of the new Liftmaster 6550WLB (fancy wifi, with two remotes, and keyless pad) he was installing and he also brought to my attention that I probably had the wrong size springs for the heavy garage door I have. You can tell Dylan loves his job and he was in no way trying to up sell me anything, but after much discussion about the pros and cons of having the proper sized springs and he (and Steve) working with me on pricing - I decided to make the investment and I am glad I did.  Dylan was extremely personable, professional, and as he worked non-stop, we had delightful conversations about current events, our love of dogs, and of course, garage doors.  The new belt drive opener coupled with the new springs is night and day from my old set up.  The door opens and closes so smoothly and is whisper quiet!  I will recommend All American to all of my friends and they are now my go-to for any garage door needs!

My car had been in the garage for a few days after my opener failed and I wasn't able to get the door up. Dylan helped me get the door up and the car out of the garage, which was on a Saturday. By Tuesday, they were ready to install. Dylan was running a bit late, but Steve assured me we were still on for install. Dylan arrived with another gentlemen and began the install. It was about 96 degrees this afternoon, but they didn't complain and got it done. I gave them some cold water early on.  The garage system is a super quiet. We got a dent on the bottom panel and there is a crack in between each panel. It was not an easy fix but they tried very hard to repair instead of going to replacing the panels or the whole door.

Steve answered our call immediately, assessed our situation, and gave us a reasonable quote over the phone.
